NXT TEC. Ltd says grant will accelerate plans both at home and internationally
Western Australian-based construction technology company NXT TEC. Ltd has been awarded a grant of $479,726 from the Australian Government, as part of its Accelerating Commercialisation program.
NXT TEC. is a rapidly growing Australian company, focused on the development and delivery of innovative building technologies. NXT TEC. re-designs, re-engineers and simplifies the construction process, utilising materials that are environmentally-friendly and recyclable.
The grant will be used to accelerate the global commercialisation and scale-up of NXT TEC.’s disruptive building assembly system. NXT TEC.’s patented technology enables large-scale multi-level building projects to be delivered faster, cheaper, greener and at a higher quality when compared with traditional construction building materials and processes.
Accelerating Commercialisation provides access to expert guidance and grants to help businesses commercialise their novel products, processes and services as part of the Australian Government’s Entrepreneurs’ Programme. The grants are aimed to assist innovative Australia based companies to help enable commercialisation activities, proving the viability of their products and preparing them for domestic and international markets.
Commenting on the grant success, NXT TEC.’s founder and Managing Director, Natasha Di Ciano, said: “We are delighted to have now received this grant funding from the Australian Government and it is a great endorsement of our technology. Their support is a huge validation of the NXTTM Building System Technology and its compliance with Australian Building Standards and Environmental Product Declaration Certification. NXT TEC. is one of only 11 companies selected nationally to secure such funding and it will be used to help accelerate our plans both at home and internationally.”
Although NXT TEC. currently operates in Australia, where it has a deep understanding of the commercial property market and the local construction industry, the company is expanding its operations to enable it to pursue suitable projects internationally, particularly in developing and emerging countries where large-scale projects exist and where the “triple bottom line” of economic, social and environmental benefits can be more readily achieved.
