Named in the Emerging and Energising category for the ACT, Accelerate Physiotherapy says its customers are happier when its staff achieve a work life balance.
Canberra Physiotherapy Practice, Accelerate Physiotherapy has been named finalist for the ACT region Telstra Business Awards within Emerging and Energising category.
The practice, located in Garran, has a strong focus on providing a family-friendly workplace for their employees. All staff at Accelerate work a 4-day week and have the flexibility to complete paperwork at home after spending time with their families.
Founded in 2017 by William Maher and Adnan Asger Ali, Accelerate Physiotherapy is thriving due to the strong culture within their clinic which is projected onto its many patients who visit the clinic each day.
Practice Manager Jennifer Maher, said that by providing a happy, flexible and supportive workplace, customers are getting the best service from Accelerate’s physiotherapists.
“Physiotherapy can be a mentally draining profession with the career average for a musculoskeletal physiotherapist within private practice being only five years. To prevent this type of burnout amongst our staff, we allow them to work a 4-day week, give them access to a mental health allowance and make leave from the clinic readily available.”
“We challenge other private physiotherapy practices to step up, appreciate the mental strain on your physios and offer flexible working arrangements so we can reduce the burnout within our industry.”
