If you are looking to buy a franchise, what better referral than existing franchise owners? SEEK Business and 10 THOUSAND FEET Research have surveyed Australia's franchises and announced the topfranchise award winners as rated by their franchisees.

The 2017 topfranchise Awards recognise franchisors of choice, and exist to help potential franchise owners identify and connect with franchisors that excel in areas that are important to existing franchisees. The awards acknowledge franchises that perform well, as rated by their current franchisees. The topfranchise Awards include an overall award along with six category-specific awards. Performance is ranked across marketing, branding, passion and culture, support and operational systems, lifestyle and opportunities for expansion.

More than 1,500 franchisees were surveyed, through a comprehensive survey conducted by specialist researchers, 10 THOUSAND FEET, and SEEK Business, which partnered for the third year this year. Each franchisee was asked up to 38 questions, covering a range of key areas, with the feedback used to then benchmark performance in comparison to other franchise systems.

Gutter cleaning experts, Gutter-Vac, based in Queensland, have cleaned up in the 2017 topfranchise Awards, and been named topfranchise for 2017. Gutter-Vac is an outdoors service industry-based business with a focus on client contact and engagement. A Gutter-Vac franchise can be both a lifestyle or an asset to grow and sell. 

Smartline Mortgage Advisers once again proved its impressive franchisor credentials, placing second on the list. Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses in Victoria surged to third on the list.

Bridgestone and Cafe2U made Top Ten debuts, and established franchises Mister Minit, Soul Origin, Kwik Kopy, Snooze and Mrs Fields reappeared, rounding out this years’ top ten.
