Beginning Boutique will occupy the space for at least five years
National online fashion retailer Beginning Boutique has secured a five-year lease an industrial facility in inner Brisbane in a deal negotiated by Knight Frank.
Beginning Boutique is one of Australia's fastest growing fashion e-commerce stores, selling an exclusive range of women's clothing.
This deal will see the company expand their office and warehouse accommodation in Brisbane, as well as providing the required showroom space for its growing business. The facility will be its Brisbane headquarters.
Beginning Boutique’s Director and Founder Sarah Timmerman said, “after years of impractically working on top of each other in a small office, the entire team can't wait to celebrate the move into a new, much larger space!"
The 1,847 sqm facility at 11 Cornwall Street in Fairfield includes 1,093 sqm of warehouse, 253 sqm of showroom and 501 sqm of office and amenities.
Lachlan Hateley, who negotiated the leasing deal with colleague David Knox, said Beginning Boutique would occupy Building 1 of three buildings in the industrial complex on Fairfield’s Cornwall Street.
“The tenant was seeking a larger facility close to the CBD to accommodate their warehousing and distribution, as well as an expanding marketing team.
“An inner-city location was desirable for Beginning Boutique to be close to other fashion retailers and therefore easy for suppliers to access, as well as for ease of staff access. With the train station just nearby, it’s easy for employees to travel to work, and there is also excellent car parking for employees, suppliers and couriers.”
Mr Knox noted it is difficult for tenants to secure space of this size near the city. “This facility was leased within three months of being placed on the leasing market,” he said.
