Australian mother of four, Lea-Anne Crawford, has grown Vanilla Mozi from a homemade DIY recipe for family and friends into a family business and international brand.
After years of success in Australia, natural insect repellent company Vanilla Mozi has launched their unique repellents into the United States, offering Americans an alternative to DEET and chemical sprays.
The move comes as reports from the CDC suggest more than 75% of the US could be swarmed by mosquitos this season. Zika Virus, Yellow Fever, and the West Nile Virus have been the fear of many over the last 2 years.
Vanilla Mozi spokesperson Dave Crawford said, “When American visitors come over they stock up on Vanilla Mozi, and customers have been repeatedly asking us to bring it over. The time has come, we are on our way!”
The Vanilla Mozi range was created out of necessity when Australian mother of four, Lea-anne Crawford, found she dreaded putting commercial repellent on her baby’s skin. Crawford used her science background to create a homemade repellent to protect her children and pets from mosquitos on all of the family’s outdoor adventures.
Vanilla Mozi's bug repellent is made using a specialized formula with all natural ingredients and a vanilla scent. The company’s products are suitable for everyone, including children and pregnant women, and are designed to accommodate sensitive skin.
On why the company was moving to the USA, founder of Vanilla Mozi, Lea-Anne Crawford said, “As mothers, we try and be as intuitive as we can be for children. It was this intuition that led me to the place I am now - a journey that started with wanting to find a way to protect my babies and their skin from mosquitos, chemicals, and bites. It is an exciting time as Vanilla Mozi has reached American soil and offers the same protection enjoyed Down Under.”
