Among the events, forums, workshops and webinars being held in NSW this October, leading digital marketing analytics company Digivizer will run two free masterclass workshops at Microsoft Reactor, Sydney.
This October is NSW Small Business Month, dedicated to promoting and celebrating the success of small businesses and recognising the important role they play in the NSW economy and their local communities.
The state’s small business sector employs an estimated 1.65 million people across NSW and makes up almost 44% of the private sector workforce.
This year NSW Small Business Month covers seven themes designed to help small businesses and capture the wide-ranging needs of NSW entrepreneurs:
Starting a business: for entrepreneurs with a business idea looking to learn key essentials such as applying for an Australian Business Number (ABN), registering a domain name and managing finances.
Business basics: learn the essentials to growing a successful business, including business planning, financial management, managing staff and more.
Digital future: for small businesses looking to build an online presence, learn new technologies, create a digital strategy or simply utilise opportunities to grow digitally.
Marketing and social media: an opportunity for small businesses to understand how social media works, create a social presence, reach new audiences or grow their current expertise.
Disruption ready: from natural disasters to new technologies, it is important for businesses to plan to survive and thrive.
Aboriginal businesses: empowering aboriginal entrepreneurs with information and tools to start and/or grow their business.
Women in business: exclusive opportunities for women keen to start or grow their business with advice, tools and insights from a community of inspirational and successful female leaders.
The wide variety of events includes two free masterclass workshops run by leading digital marketing analytics company Digivizer.
Digivizer’s CEO and co-founder Emma Lo Russo will facilitate both events, in partnership with Microsoft Reactor, Google, and a number of Australian CEOs and industry disruptors.
“Our focus will be on what every business owner craves - practical insights and real-world, actionable plans that they can use to grow businesses faster, improve digital marketing ROI, and build the foundations for success,” says Emma Lo Russo.
“Across Australia, recent Australian Bureau of Statistics data show medium businesses (those employing between 20 and 99 employees) contributed between 15% and 20% of the overall growth across all industry sectors and business sizes. We are passionate about giving them, and businesses of all sizes, the best tools and insights.
“Digivizer works with global multinationals such as Google, LinkedIn, Barilla, Optus and Lenovo, early-growth and medium-size businesses including real estate software company Rockend, and startups such as SuperFastDiet and Oh Crap!. One thing unites them all: they use digital marketing to generate better results, create exciting customer experiences, accelerate growth, and improve their ROI.
“These sessions will offer the audiences experts’ insights into how to grow their businesses. We will share the latest trends in digital marketing, show owners how easy it is to continually measure, test and improve their marketing, and give them new tools and insights they can use in their own businesses.”
Joining Digivizer will be some of the best business thinkers in Australia - including from Google, digital growth-hacker and disruptor Gavin Heaton, Carole-Anne Priest, lawyer & CEO of business insurer Imalia, Vanessa Giannos, CEO and founder of The HR Experts International, and Leanne Berry, Director of Love Your Numbers.
