The Real Estate Institute of Tasmania (REIT) has announced their 2019 Awards for Excellence winners, recognising outstanding achievements within the industry.
At the annual awards dinner held at the Hobart Grand Chancellor, John Blacklow of Knight Frank Hobart was awarded 2019 Business Broker Of The Year, Proudly sponsored by The Real Estate Conversation.

Head of Knight Frank’s Tourism and Leisure Department for Tasmania, John is particularly experienced in the leasing or selling of hotels, motels, licensed establishments, accommodation complexes and businesses throughout the island state.
John holds a Certificate of Commercial and Industrial Practice (CCIP), Accredited Business Agent, Estate Agents License, Member REIT and has carried the endorsement from the Tasmanian Hospitality Association for over 25 years.
John owned and operated his own real estate company for 10 years before joining Knight Frank in 1994.
“I have been selling hotels, motels and businesses for some 36 years now and have always enjoyed the field of business broking. Mind you, a lot of effort and preparation goes into the documentation to ensure that the business is presented in its best light and that all information is accurate,” John told WILLIAMS MEDIA.
“There has never been a better time to be in real estate in Tasmania. We are now in second position on the economic performance rankings and Interstate and overseas investors have really warmed to our State. Consequently we are experiencing very high levels of enquiry, so our quality assets have very little trouble in selling.”
