The retailer meets rising consumer demand for an on-demand convenience product offering with sweet and savoury snacks as well as pantry essentials like bread and milk.
BP has announced a new partnership with Deliveroo expanding its Couchfood™ home delivery service.
An extensive range of snacks and drinks are now available from 120 BP sites across Australia via Deliveroo.
Adam Arnold, General Manager, Marketing and Retail Innovation at BP, said that the partnership is a timely response to the growing trend for on-demand convenience amongst consumers.
“Following on from a successful Couchfood™ launch last year, we’re excited to be developing our on-demand home delivery service with Deliveroo to meet rising consumer demand,” Arnold said.
“Couchfood™ is revolutionising summer snacking by bringing seasonal favourites and a wide range of sweet and savoury snacks right to Aussies’ doors. It’s great to be working with Deliveroo and we look to continue building the Couchfood™ by BP brand throughout 2020,” he added.
The retailer’s on-demand convenience product offering includes sweet and savoury must-haves such as Maltesers, Cadbury’s and Doritos as well as pantry essentials like bread and milk. Couchfood™ will also be offering consumers cool drinks and summer snacks such as ice cream – the perfect accompaniment to an evening in catching a film, or a BBQ in the backyard.
Deliveroo’s Australian CEO, Ed McManus, said: "This partnership will allow our customers the opportunity to enjoy the ultimate convenience. Hundreds of thousands of Australians already rely on Deliveroo to bring amazing food from their favourite restaurants straight to their door, and now they can count on us to bring their favourite snacks too.
“Gone are the days of forgetting the selection for a movie night-in or having to survive through a Sunday morning without a coffee because you haven't got any milk. BP’s Couchfood™ opens up even more choice and selection for consumers and represents another step towards Deliveroo being the definitive food company, offering the widest selection of foods for all occasions.”
Couchfood™ by BP is now live on the Deliveroo app. Find the full list of Couchfood™ sites via the website.
